We have some wonderful dads in our troop. Beginning with our scoutmaster, assistant scoutmaster and also the dads of our great boys. We are blessed. We finished up our day with the boys and had a awesome weekend, flood and all. I will post pictures tomorrow. There are allot. Following the flood, everything worked out just fine and we carried on making more great memories with our scouts. Wonderful fathers day and a wonderful experience for the scouts. We spent fathers day weekend at the French And Indian War Encampment at Custaloga Town in Carlisle, Pa. Pictures to come. So happy fathers day hope all you dads had a great one. God bless!
Troop 51 Flag Burning Ceremony
The US Flag Code states "The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning". As long as it is a respectful disposal it is acceptable. But, for your best options, allow an organization that does this on a regular basis to do it for you. Where you are located you should have no trouble locating any of the groups I am about to mention.
